About me

MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi! I'm Greg Traver

That's me in 2017. I had just survived my second STEMI, (otherwise known as a widow-maker heart attack) and then suffered heart failure. I was resuscitated over 20 mintues later. It was a miracle! In every sense of the word.

Little did anyone know then, it would be three weeks laying there intubated before I regained consciousness.

My wife was feeling pressure, they said, "prognosis is not good and he is taking up a bed in the ICU. It's time to start looking for an extended care facility".

But my wife would not give up. She sat on the side of my bed praying and talking to me.

Then came the second miracle! Her voice reached me somehow. I could feel her warm hands on my face. My eyes finally focused and I saw her leaning in close. She simply said, "I see you". I knew right then that everything was going to be okay.

Recovery is not an easy thing, but it is possible. After experiencing heart failure the second time, I will tell you, that going it alone can have some adverse consequences.

It starts like this.

You are finally home and somewhat settled into a routine when it hits you. Everything has changed, everything! At some point the isolation starts sinking in. Then comes the dark spiral and none of that is going to help your recovery at all!

But how do you maintain connection with anyone when you don't even feel like climbing in the car, or driving or even walking out of the house?

Social Media provides something, but it doesn't build connections between survivors. Connections help accelerate our recovery! I hope you will make many here
